LRCE has formed the Teach Louisiana Consortium in an effort to offer
talented individuals the opportunity to gain fast-track
certification while teaching. Successful candidates will earn a
Louisiana teaching certificate in 12-36 months while working
full-time in a public school or non-public school, earning full-time pay.
Whether you are
retired, changing careers, or newly graduated from college, Teach
Louisiana Consortium could be the answer for you!
General requirements for TLC applicants include
- A Bachelor's degree from an
accredited college or university.
- A minimum 2.50 Cumulative GPA.
- U.S. Citizenship or work
permit.
- Passing scores on PRAXIS I and
PRAXIS II Content Specialty Exams by May, 2008.
- A satisfactory background
check as required by the hiring school system.
