Nancy Roberts is the founder and Executive Director of the Louisiana Resource Center for Educators (LRCE). She earned a bachelor`s degree and a master`s degree at LSU and taught school in New Orleans for several years. Nancy has more than 20 years experience in not-for-profit management and has received numerous local and national awards for her outstanding achievements in the field of education, including being named as one of the Baton Rouge Business Report`s Influential Women in Business, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Angel Award, the Distinguished Partners in Education Award, the Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership Award, and the Theodore Roosevelt Award from President George H. W. Bush. Working to secure grants for educators in the most desperate situations, Nancy developed her vision for improving the education system in Louisiana by opening a shared resource center dedicated to teachers.
Nancy has devoted her professional career to issues focused on making education a focal point for local, state, and national policy-makers. LRCE is the product of this vision supporting excellence in education for all teachers in Louisiana. LRCE provides schools with certified teachers, professional development workshops and PreK-12th grade instructional materials, to impact student achievement.
