Overview
Our 100% virtual Special Education Program (SPED Pro) teaches the initial knowledge and skills for being a champion SPED teacher, letting you add Mild to Moderate Special Education to your current teaching license in as little as one semester!
Our SPED Pro program is the special education coursework required to add Mild to Moderate Special Education to your existing certification. In addition to this coursework, you will need to have 9 course hours of literacy, which can be fulfilled by LRCE courses, or it may have already been fulfilled through your undergraduate program or the LETRS Literacy Foundations Course. You will also need to pass Praxis Special Education: Core Knowledge and Mild to Moderate Applications (5355) and pass Praxis Teaching of Reading Elementary (5205) or Teaching of Reading: Elementary Subtest (7002).
